The first written report dates back to 993. The village is located at an altitude of 178 metres. There are 1217 inhabitants. There is a post office, a kindergarten and primary school, a medical facility, a volunteer fire brigade, a physical education unit and a fishing association. There is a castle Přerov nad Labem.

Religious community holds church services and spiritual meetings. We also focus on prayers, blessings, festivals, baptism, repentance, confirmation and more. We provide marriage ceremonies, Bible classes, distribution of pastoral letters, visits to members of the congregation, loan of Christian literature and youth meetings.

The Primary School Přerov nad Labem provides basic education to 95 pupils in grades 1 - 9 and is located in the centre of the village. We focus on reading, science, financial and ICT literacy. We support pupils' communicative skills in foreign languages and focus on environmental education.
