Organizing exhibitions with technical or patriotic themes. We offer exhibitions in the areas of archaeological finds of the High Middle Ages or the tradition of mining. We bring together supporters of the museum through a club. Members can attend lectures and field trips in history or natural history.

The museum is housed in the baroque building of the original Piarist schools, known as the scene of Alois Jirásek's Philosophical History. It offers a modern exhibition on the history of Litomyšl with archaeological excavations in situ, a number of unique objects and a rich children's program. It organizes short-term exhibitions.

We run an exhibition dedicated to the life and work of Adolf Heyduk. We exhibit the poet's study, dining room and salon including furniture, library, paintings and small utilitarian objects.

We provide exhibitions, lectures and permanent displays. We organize programs for children and schools, concerts, competitions and accompanying events. We publish two international scientific journals, monographs and proceedings.

The Upper Synagogue is the only preserved synagogue in Mikulov out of the original twelve. It was built in 1450. After a fire in 1719 it underwent extensive reconstruction. It is a Polish-style synagogue. During and after World War II it served as a warehouse. It was restored to its former appearance in 2014.
