The Petřiny branch is a library and a modern cultural centre with its own multifunctional hall (cinema, lectures, conferences and other programmes). For rest, relaxation and study, there are workplaces, a coworking desk and four club rooms that can be reserved.
Providing library services to the public. We offer present and absentee borrowing from the collection, research from databases created by the CIK department and statistical information on various areas of culture. The public internet is available.
We operate a professional library. The library collection includes all relevant study literature supplemented by domestic and foreign professional periodicals and access to electronic information resources. There are 35,000 book volumes, Czech and foreign monographs and study texts.
Providing loan, education and information services. Offering books, films, music, magazines, sheet music, maps or spoken word. Carrying out black and white photocopying and printing. Organising lectures, training sessions, concerts, art workshops or film screenings.
A public library focusing on equal opportunities, gender studies and feminism. You can find specialist literature, magazines, fiction, children's and young adult literature, comics and grey literature. We provide a lending service and organise literary, educational and other events for the public.
Offering library services and internet access. We offer approximately 7800 books and periodicals for loan. We provide interlibrary loan services. We have magazines such as Level, CHIP, Quatrefoil, Witch and Vlasta available for borrowing.
The largest and oldest library of technical literature in the Czech Republic with a capacity of around 926,000 volumes. Its primary function is to provide technical information resources and services to students, teachers and researchers, as well as to those interested in technical information from the general public.
We offer professional library services. It prepares projects on cultural policy and theatre history, literature and periodicals. There are study rooms that house library, documentation, bibliographic collections, a video library, an audio library and an archive.
