The municipal public library is a barrier-free community centre where, in addition to lending books, various events take place every week.

Providing library services. The library in Heřmanův Městec is one of the oldest in the country. Already in 1818 Puchmajer documents the organizational statutes of the local reading circle, which later became a public library. The library has two departments, one for adults and one for children.
