We run a town library. We lend books, magazines, gramophone records, CDs and audio books for the blind. We offer internet access. There is a study room and a music department. We also run an information centre for non-profit organisations and the EU. We organise events, talks with writers and translators.

We are a public library, and in addition to lending services, we offer a safe environment, internet access, a range of cultural and educational events, digital and media literacy seminars and bookbinding workshops. We run an Eco-centre and a community centre.

We operate a library with reference books and collections. Books are lent out by appointment. Here you will find the libraries of Gelastova, the Herites family, part of the library of the Wet family, Josef Holecek and the founders of the Žahour family as well as the poet Miloš Tůma. There is also a research room.
