We collect, digitize and make available documents, photographs, sound recordings and other materials about Václav Havel. We organize archival, archival research, documentation and library activities.

The contributory organisation is a public library entrusted with regional functions. It provides library and information services to its users. Readers can use other services such as the Internet, printing and copies of documents, children's corners, borrowing e-book readers, buying coffee.

Providing library services specialising in history, archaeology, mineralogy, geology and zoology. Our collection includes volumes on numismatics, ethnography, art history, botany, geology and paleontology. We also have books from collections of manuscripts, old prints and bibliophilic collections.

We operate a library with reference books and collections. Books are lent out by appointment. Here you will find the libraries of Gelastova, the Herites family, part of the library of the Wet family, Josef Holecek and the founders of the Žahour family as well as the poet Miloš Tůma. There is also a research room.
