The modern evangelical church in the centre of the town was built between 1907 and 1908 according to a design by the German architect Otto Kuhlmann. The church was declared a cultural monument in 1995. The building was completely destroyed by floods in 1997.

The present building of the temple of the Neo-Romanesque style is the result of the reconstruction of the former synagogue according to the project of the Jewish architect Jakob Gartner, a native of Přerov.
