We operate a municipal library. We offer bibliographic and information, interlibrary loan and reprographic services. Internet access is available. We lend educational and children's literature, poetry, fiction and magazines. We organise talks and library events for schools and the public.

Providing library services. The library in Heřmanův Městec is one of the oldest in the country. Already in 1818 Puchmajer documents the organizational statutes of the local reading circle, which later became a public library. The library has two departments, one for adults and one for children.
