The mission of Charity Ostrava's Wardrobe is to collect donated clothing and shoes and to use them to give them to people in need, especially users of social services in day centres for the homeless, hostels, shelters or starter flats.
We are engaged in organizing services and spiritual meetings. You can attend Mass, Adoration, Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession), Rosary we arrange visits to the sick and Stations of the Cross. We organise Bible Club, Scholicku, Youth Fellowship and Living Rosary.
We operate a shelter for mothers with children providing temporary accommodation for mothers with children who find themselves in an unfavourable social situation related to the loss of housing. With individual support, we try to address their situation so that they can integrate into mainstream society and find suitable housing.
Offering medical and compensatory equipment rentals. We also organize financial and material collections during emergencies and the Trick-or-Treat fundraiser. We conclude agreements for foster care. We provide vocational training and counselling, psychological support and more.
The service is intended for all people who find themselves in adverse life situations. The assistance is mediated through social workers, social service workers, SD centres or workers of authorities and other organisations and institutions.
We operate a parish under the Roman Catholic Church. We organize services, spiritual meetings, confessions. We offer afternoon gatherings for children or religious instruction. We believe in the sacraments of baptism, confirmation, reconciliation, altar, marriage, priesthood, anointing of the sick, burial and ordination.
We provide accommodation for young people leaving residential institutions for children and young people or who have completed their sentence. We try to motivate them to obtain and maintain employment. We teach them how to run a household independently. We provide counselling and support in studying, finding housing and employment.
