The DNA diagnostics laboratory performs postnatal and prenatal molecular genetic tests.

The cytogenetic laboratory performs classical postnatal cytogenetic examinations, prenatal cytogenetic examinations and prenatal and postnatal molecular genetic examinations by fluorescence in situ hybridization.

The Toxicology Laboratory offers organisations and private individuals the analysis of biological material for the detection and determination of alcohol and narcotic and psychotropic substances.

The work of the toxicology laboratory is focused on qualitative and quantitative analysis of biological material for the needs of clinical departments in the region and for the needs of law enforcement agencies.

We mainly perform analyses for criminal law purposes at the request of the Police Department. For the civil sector, we perform blood alcohol testing at the request of the employer in case of suspicion of alcohol influence on the employee and also for private purposes.

We process collected samples of biological material and prepare slides. This is the most time-consuming part of the autopsy, which is therefore usually completed three to four weeks apart.
