We are engaged in maintenance of protected areas, zoological and botanical research and preservation of regional varieties of fruit trees. We organize natural science competitions, lectures, publish a magazine.

We offer bibliographic and information services, interlibrary loan services and reprographic services. There is a public internet and an on-line catalogue of books. We lend educational literature, children's literature, poetry, fiction and magazines. We sell out-of-print books and magazines.

We are a book eshop with a wide range of books in the Czech Republic. We have books in stock. We offer more than 500 000 titles including foreign language books. We offer personal collection in our bookstore and 450 outlets across the country.
