Operation of a research library. Internet access and an online catalogue of books is available. We lend books, magazines, newspapers, maps, audio media, foreign language literature and other documents. We allow telephone and electronic book reservations. We provide borrowing and copying services.

We operate a municipal library specialising in bibliographic and factual literature. We run departments for adults and for children and young people. We lend educational literature, children's literature, poetry, fiction, magazines and audio books. There is an online library catalogue.

The largest and oldest library of technical literature in the Czech Republic with a capacity of around 926,000 volumes. Its primary function is to provide technical information resources and services to students, teachers and researchers, as well as to those interested in technical information from the general public.
