We operate a museum. We are engaged in exhibitions describing the history of the Kolín region. We collect, preserve and exhibit a large collection of archaeology, history, art history, ethnography and natural sciences. We provide expert services in these fields.

The chateau houses a permanent exhibition dedicated to the early years of Smetana's work. It also commemorates other composers who were born in the region over the centuries, such as Jan Dismas Zelenka, Josef Leopold Dukát and Josef Suk, or who visited and worked in the region - Richard Wagner, Gustav Mahler and others.

The original fortress of the Lords of Janovice with a beautiful English park with a pond. The neo-Gothic castle is known mainly thanks to Sidonia the Magnificent of Borutín, who gave it its present appearance and distinctive charm. A modern interactive exhibition "Crime and Punishment", commemorating the horrors of the Nazi occupation of the Czech lands. Much attention is paid to Operation Anthropoid and the subsequent repressions. The Memorial includes the unique St. Anne's Chapel, designed by the famous Baroque Gothic architect Jan Blazej Santini-Aichel.

In addition to collection management and exhibition activities, the museum also focuses on organizing cultural events, lectures, talks, concerts, film screenings and art workshops for the public. At present, its collection includes objects from the fields of painting, graphics, photography, sculpture and design.

We operate a town museum with natural history, ethnography, archaeology, history, art and industry. It is possible to buy various souvenirs as well as specialized literature in the shop.

The memorial is dedicated to the personality and work of Karel Čapek, Olga Scheinpflug and Ferdinand Peroutka. We organize guided tours for schools. There is also an educational trail of Karel Čapek. In the museum and bistro you can pay in cash and by card.

We allow you to visit a rock dwelling carved into a sandstone rock. It is a whole farm with a room, hall, barn, cellar and granary. There is also a butcher's shop and other small outbuildings.

We operate a museum. We organise exhibitions focusing on the presentation of historical and contemporary technology used in agriculture. There are depositories and exhibitions mainly focused on mechanization of crop production, energy sources in agriculture and transport.

We provide presentations of exhibitions of Czech and world art of the 20th to 21st century in baroque houses and in the Romanesque cellar. There is a lecture centre, a children's corner and a café. Various art courses and other activities are organized within the lecture centre.
