The Duchcov Chateau was built in 1675-1685 by Jan Bedřich of Wallenstein according to the plans of the architect Jean Baptiste Mathey on the site of an older Renaissance Lobkowitz mansion. The chateau with an Italian terraced garden is one of the most important Rococo buildings in Bohemia.
