The Museum of Broumov Region was founded in 1945 as a centre for the patrimonial work of the then Broumov district. Since 1980, it has been housed on the 1st floor of the Abbey wing of the Benedictine monastery, where a permanent exhibition called "History of Broumov and Broumov Region" was installed ten years later.

The Jemnice Museum. The exhibition “Life on the Border” offers a glimpse into places where Czech, German, and Jewish cultures intermingle, and where national, state, and regional borders lie nearby. You’ll see a stone maiden, a film about the Barchan festival, documents chronicling the 20th century, and preserved farm buildings. There are play areas for children.

The Chrastava City Museum was opened in 1996 and visitors can learn about the history of the town and its surroundings during a tour. They can learn interesting information about the first Slavic and later German inhabitants of the town and about the conquest of the surrounding mountains.

The museum organizes short-term exhibitions. It also has archaeological, historical, book, military, numismatic and art sub-collections.

We operate a museum focusing on education and education issues. In addition to the permanent exhibition, we also organise short-term exhibitions. We are a research centre focused on the history of Czech education, pedagogy, teaching and education in relation to the life, work and legacy of J. A. Comenius.

The museum exhibition presents the turbulent history of the village, its ups and downs. A special part of the exhibition is dedicated to one of the darkest parts of the history of the Czech Republic, or Czechoslovakia.

Organisation of archaeological, ethnographic and historical exhibitions. The permanent exhibition focuses on the life of the people under the Brumov castle, on typical crafts and household equipment.

The museum offers two permanent exhibitions - the studio of the Namesti photographer Ondřej Knoll and Papírník's printing house. You can see old photographic and printing machines from the beginning of the last century, photographs from the old Náměstí and its surroundings and learn about the past of the printing craft.

The museum's exhibition documents the history of the spa town from the time of the discovery of the Francis Spring to the 20th century, local architecture and the development of balneological methods. Among many other things, visitors can see historical views of the spa, the wooden seduction of the Francis Spring from the mid-18th century.
