The museum collects architectural monuments from all over Bohemia. It offers a comparison of various regional types of folk architecture from the 17th to the 19th century. It contains residential and farm buildings from the region of eastern, central and northern Bohemia.

The museum owns around 2,800 exhibits from the 15th century to the present day. The cemetery church of All Saints was originally part of the Cistercian abbey in Sedlec. Part of the church is an underground chapel, which serves as an ossuary, where the remains of up to 60 thousand dead are found.
