Already at that time, there was probably a Gothic fortress with a manor house, which was lent to the Austrian nobleman Siegfried Sirotek by the Czech King Wenceslas I in 1249. Offering tours of a replica castle ruin. Jan's Castle is part of the Lednice-Valtice area, it was built near a hunting preserve, on a place surrounded on three sides by the river Dyje. It served as a hunting castle. After the hunts, rich feasts were held here, where the King of the Hunt was announced. It was possible to organise weddings.

We operate a museum. The museum has a reading room and a study room. Here are exhibited the oldest surviving documents relating to the village, extensive photo documentation, a collection of old romance books, calendars, old religious literature and printed materials.
We are a modern visitor centre of the White Carpathians Protected Landscape Area. There is a shop with regional products. You can take a look at the interactive exhibition and learn about the attractions of the White Carpathians.
The Upper Synagogue is the only preserved synagogue in Mikulov out of the original twelve. It was built in 1450. After a fire in 1719 it underwent extensive reconstruction. It is a Polish-style synagogue. During and after World War II it served as a warehouse. It was restored to its former appearance in 2014.
