Operate a municipal library. We lend educational and children's literature, poetry, fiction and magazines. We have an online catalogue of books and internet access. We provide lending and interlibrary loan services. We allow telephone and electronic book reservations.

Lending books and magazines. The library has new books from the Chrudim library's exchange lending fund as well as classic books from the original municipal library.

Providing library services. The library in Heřmanův Městec is one of the oldest in the country. Already in 1818 Puchmajer documents the organizational statutes of the local reading circle, which later became a public library. The library has two departments, one for adults and one for children.
