The library is one of the smaller branches of the KJM. In addition to the book collection, it also offers audiobooks, e-readers, umbrellas, glasses, toys, didactic aids and organizes cultural and educational events for schools and the public. In 2021, it was awarded the prestigious (TOP) Community Library of the South Moravian Region 2020 award.

The library belongs to the medium-sized branches of the KJM, cooperates with local kindergartens and primary schools (it implements educational programmes), actively participates in projects to promote children's reading and has a play area with a slide in the children's section. It organises cultural and educational events for the general public.

The library is one of the main branches of the KJM and has a separate section for children and adult readers. It is located in the building of the famous Kinokavárna. The library actively participates in the events of the Brno-sever municipality and cooperates with local kindergartens, primary schools and schools, offers wi-fi connection, lends e-readers, CDs with spoken word and umbrellas.
