In good weather and during regular opening hours, we offer a tour of the ruins of the rock castle built in the middle of the 13th century as a nobleman's residence. The film The Devils Are No Jokes was filmed here. There are good bus connections around the castle. Parking in the surrounding villages. A yellow tourist trail leads to the castle.

Year-round tours of the richly furnished and luxuriously decorated historical interiors from the second half of the 19th century, when Zákupy served as a summer residence for members of the Habsburg ruling family. Offering castle tours. Grabštejn Castle and Chateau is situated on a steep promontory near the valley of the Lusatian Neisse River. The time of its foundation is still debated. The originally medieval castle, which is mentioned in historical sources from the first half of the 13th century, was one of the first manor castles in our territory.

Probably in the 1360s, Czech King Přemysl Otakar II took advantage of the dominant hill above the older manor and built a solid stone castle on it to defend the trade route and against the expansion of the neighbouring families of Ronovec and Markvartice. Offer tours of the castle and the adjacent English park, which has several rare trees. The predecessor of today's castle was an early Gothic castle built after 1300 on a rock above the Jizera River. Its founder was most probably a member of the Markvartice Havel family. It is possible to organize weddings.

The foundation of the castle dates back to the late Middle Ages, approximately between 1380 and 1390, when Čeněk of Vartemberk took advantage of the natural defensive properties of the basalt rocks. The castle is located on the edge of Bohemian Paradise, less than an hour drive from Prague. At the chateau you can see the exhibition of archaeology, about the history of the chateau and its surroundings, about the history of brewing and lazarette, underground, old and new chateau chapel.
