Exposition of folk architecture in East Bohemia. Scenes for the films Lotrando and Zubejda, The Seven Ravens and the Circus Humberto series were filmed in the open-air museum. It is possible to organize a wedding ceremony in the Veselokopec chapel, in the world room of the farmhouse or in the area in front of the mill.

The museum depicts the life of small artisans during the 19th century. Today you will see the dwellings of a weaver, a toy maker and a factory worker with a shoemaker's workshop. Since the end of 2018, the museum is part of the National Museum of Nature.

The Museum of the Bohemian Countryside, a branch of the National Museum of Agriculture, is housed in Kačina Castle, one of the most important Empire buildings in the Czech Republic.
