The museum depicts the life of small artisans during the 19th century. Today you will see the dwellings of a weaver, a toy maker and a factory worker with a shoemaker's workshop. Since the end of 2018, the museum is part of the National Museum of Nature.

We operate a permanent or short-term exhibition of the history of stone and shoemaking. We organize lectures, film festivals and concerts. We have a collection of weapons, folk textiles, crafts, furniture, archaeological finds and numismatic elements. We offer hall rental for seminars and training sessions.

We operate a gallery. We exhibit scenery painted for the theatre company in 1904 by Antonín Slavíček with Bohuslav Dvořák.

MMG Hlinsko becomes two opposite buildings. The museum (Havlíčkova 675) and the gallery (Havlíčkova 614). Opening hours and entrance fees vary according to the current exhibitions and displays. In the log cabins, you’ll find examples of how small farmers lived and managed their farms from the mid-19th century to the mid-20th century. The tour also includes unique historical artifacts related to water-powered machinery.

We run a gallery with paintings by Highland painters. Among these painters we can mention Jambor, Kavan, Panuška, Hanych, Blažíček, Orš, Fiala and Emler.

The ruins of a Gothic castle, named after the hill on which it was built in the second half of the 13th century. The first written mention dates back to 1318. Remains of several fortifications, buildings and the castle tower have been preserved until today. The only building that has survived in a better condition is the purgatory, which is now a museum.
