The chateau is part of the castle complex. The castle in a spectacular neo-Gothic style of masonry, complemented by an imposing entrance gate, practically doubles the size of the castle grounds.

Offering tours of the castle. The site of the later chateau was probably inhabited from the first half of the 8th century and at the latest from the 10th century there was a hillfort. Between 1778 and 1945, the castle was held by six generations of the Prussian princely Lichnowsky family from Voštice and Werdenberg.

The castle was built in the Italian Baroque style according to the project of Domenico Martinelli and is one of the most beautiful complexes of its kind in the country. The first indirect mention of Lysice is from 1308, in connection with Heralt of Lysice and Kunštát. It is possible to organize weddings, corporate meetings, family celebrations and garden parties.

Already at that time, there was probably a Gothic fortress with a manor house, which was lent to the Austrian nobleman Siegfried Sirotek by the Czech King Wenceslas I in 1249. Offering tours of a replica castle ruin. Jan's Castle is part of the Lednice-Valtice area, it was built near a hunting preserve, on a place surrounded on three sides by the river Dyje. It served as a hunting castle. After the hunts, rich feasts were held here, where the King of the Hunt was announced. It was possible to organise weddings.
