We are a free and democratic primary and secondary school. We are based on two core values, mutual respect and esteem, recognition of people's differences and autonomy, and the need for lifelong learning based on intrinsic motivation.
The school was founded in 1990 and belongs to a worldwide network of more than 140 German foreign schools. It has two sections. The German section of the school includes a kindergarten, an elementary school and a high school. In parallel, the school offers a Czech and a Czech-German gymnasium. School leaving is by passing the International Baccalaureate and the Czech Baccalaureate.
A school from 1st grade through graduation that draws on Montessori methods and focuses on character, student independence, and community building. We focus on student personal growth and relationships.
There are 222 pupils in the primary school and 120 pupils in the secondary school (Combined Lyceum with humanities and technical focus). The school includes a day care centre and a canteen. We educate according to the principles of Waldorf pedagogy - age-appropriate learning, project-based, research-based teaching, development of arts and crafts, verbal assessment.
