The church was built on the site of the original chapel founded in the 17th century during the Thirty Years' War. It is a Baroque complex administered by the Premonstratensian Order. The building consists of a nave and transepts, a dome and eight side chapels.
The Czechoslovak Hussite Church is a Christian church. It was founded in 1920 by separation from the Roman Catholic Church. Its theology, liturgy and religious life of its congregations were influenced by the traditions of the Czech and world Reformation, but also by the tradition of primitive Christianity and the heritage of Cyril and Methodius. The Huss congregation is a church built in the neoclassical style. It is a three-aisled church with an asymmetrically placed bell tower and a prayer room on the raised ground floor, which is accessible by a monumental staircase with six columns.
