170 years of tradition, uniqueness in the Czech Republic, promising study programmes integrating technology and engineering together with economic and ecological aspects, the possibility of studying abroad, state-of-the-art equipment, cooperation with industrial practice - all this is the Faculty of Materials Science and Technology.

The faculty offers bachelor, master and doctoral degree programs in engineering and mechanical engineering. The subjects of engineering mechanics, to which the field of elasticity and strength belongs, have always been cultivated there in conjunction with mineral extraction technology.
