Birthplace and memorial showcasing the life and work of Josef Jungmann.

The glassworks was founded in 1796. Production was closed in 2002. Since 2005 the glassworks has been accessible as a unique glass museum, which was declared a National Cultural Monument in 2014. In 2016, the production was restored, which takes place mainly during the main tourist season.

In an unused underground passageway under the town office, visitors will be reminded of the history of the Richard Limestone Mine, which was written in three periods. The exhibition traces the period of the limestone mine, the underground factory and the radioactive waste repository.

You will find permanent exhibitions of the Hussites, Tábor - the fortress of the righteous and the royal city, the Gothic hall of the Old Town Hall and the Kotnov lookout tower. The glass exhibition of the museum offers a glimpse into the history of glass production in Železný Brod. There are also glass figurines from Železný Brod, which are one of the symbols of the town. Contemporary art is represented by the works of world-famous artists J. Brychtová and S. Libenský. In the museum shop you can buy glass products.

Our mini-museum is unique, the only one of its kind in the world. You will see 80 charming glass nativity scenes, both historical and contemporary. The mini-museum also includes a bead workshop (not only) for children. The mini-museum also includes a shop selling regional glass products - figurines, cribs, beads and glass flowers.

We operate a glass museum focusing on engraved and cut glass from the 17th century to the present. Part of the exhibition is dedicated to the local glass school, the J. & L. Lobmeyr company and international symposiums of engraved glass. We exhibit collections of historicizing crystal trimmed chandeliers and layered lighting fixtures.

We offer a fascinating display of authentic racing machines, including Josef Machacek's legendary quad and David Pabiska's first Dakar motorcycle. Our museum showcases a wide selection of motorcycles and quads, as well as original artefacts from the world's toughest motorsport events.

The museum houses a significant part of Jára Cimrman's estate, which was previously kept in the depositories of the Jára Cimrman Theatre. A significant part of the collections was also newly acquired thanks to citizens from the Pojizeří region and the surrounding area.
