The library is one of the smallest branches of the KJM and provides basic lending and information services to readers of all ages. Since 2017, it has been part of KJM's network of automated operations. The branch actively cooperates with the local Studánka Kindergarten and didactic toys and aids are also available for loan.

The library is one of the main branches of the KJM and is located in the centre of the district near the Rubín Cultural Centre. It organises cultural and educational events for the general public, offering lectures, exhibitions and author readings, and cooperates with local kindergartens and primary schools, for which it implements educational programmes.

The library belongs to the smaller branches of the KJM and its operation is realized in cooperation with the Cabinet of Information Studies and Librarianship of the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University in Brno, for whose students it serves as a teaching workplace.
