The library is one of the main branches of the KJM and is located in the centre of the district near the Rubín Cultural Centre. It organises cultural and educational events for the general public, offering lectures, exhibitions and author readings, and cooperates with local kindergartens and primary schools, for which it implements educational programmes.

The library belongs to the smaller branches of the KJM and its operation is realized in cooperation with the Cabinet of Information Studies and Librarianship of the Faculty of Arts of Masaryk University in Brno, for whose students it serves as a teaching workplace. The branch is not a part of the KJM network of automated operations.

The library manages more than 400,000 specialized publications and periodicals in social sciences, arts and sciences. It provides its services not only to the museum staff but also to the general public. Most of the literature is intended for full-time study only.

The library provides books and services for blind and visually impaired readers. It also offers audio books, sheet music, magazines in large black print and periodicals on health topics. It organises cultural and educational programmes. It is part of the Music Library at the KJM Central Library.

Offering library services specializing in Jewish topics. We provide documents with a focus on Hebrew studies, Judaic studies, history, anti-Semitism and the Holocaust. The library regularly adds literature by Jewish authors and books with Jewish themes.

The bookstore is the perfect bookworm's paradise, combining our favourite things: books, coffee and cakes. On two floors you'll find thousands of books, a dedicated children's section, plenty of space to read and a café where treats and talks with famous authors await.
