We run a museum displaying exhibitions on the subject of the Skaš toy. The first references to the production of wooden toys in the village of Skašov date back to the 18th century. Toys were made of spruce wood, smaller parts were made of aspen, lime and birch wood. The toys were painted and decorated with paints.
Take a tour of the restored oldest synagogue in Pilsen, built between 1858 and 1859. It is a neo-Romanesque style building with an auxiliary external staircase to the first floor, which serves as an escape route. A two-storey women's gallery on wooden columns is built into the main hall.
We organize exhibitions of modern and contemporary Czech and foreign art. We publish catalogues. We run accompanying cultural and educational events. We are also engaged in cross-sectional mapping of modern art culture in the Pilsen region.
Our gallery offers a wide range of exhibitions from renowned artists and young talents. You can admire paintings, sculptures and street art, as well as African art and ritual objects. We are also happy to host cultural events such as concerts and lectures to enrich the art scene.
