The historical and archaeological exhibition offers an overview from the beginning of the Slavic settlement of the region in the sixth century to the demise of the fortress in the twelfth century, then in the late Middle Ages and early modern period. The results of archaeological excavations are on display.

We offer tours of the mine. Several hundred meters of tunnels in the former iron ore mine are open to the public, featuring a collection of unique exhibits commemorating the region’s glorious era of mining and quarrying, including working ventilation systems and an underground train ride.

Exposition of the history of the castle, the town and the area. Organizing exhibitions, concerts and lectures. Part of the exposition introduces the development of the natural landscape park in Vlašim. Another part of the exposition introduces the long history of the castle.

Homeland history exhibition for the Prague-West district, specialising in gold mining in the Czech Republic. Possibility to visit a mine adit from the times of gold mining. Visitors can use an educational trail. We are also engaged in publishing activities. It is possible to rent a multipurpose hall with a capacity of 120 people.

Birthplace of Vítězslav Hálek. Part of the exhibition is a collection of documents and visual materials introducing the poet's life and work.

In addition to collection management and exhibition activities, the museum also focuses on organizing cultural events, lectures, talks, concerts, film screenings and art workshops for the public. At present, its collection includes objects from the fields of painting, graphics, photography, sculpture and design.

The exhibition contains rare documents, photographs and drawings from archaeological investigations.

The Mariánská Štola, 532 metres long, was built between 1869 and 1870 and opened to the public in 1994. Visitors are introduced to the history of the adit and the work of the old miners in the unaltered form of the preserved brick and stone lining of the adit's ovoid profile, as well as a demonstration of the mine's workings.

Visitors can see the surface exhibitions, the Rimba adit and an exhibition called Memory of the Region.

The cemetery church of All Saints was originally part of the Cistercian abbey in Sedlec. Part of the church is an underground chapel, which serves as an ossuary, where the remains of up to 60 thousand dead are found.

There are hand-carved nativity scenes on display and Christmas customs to try out. During the tour you will learn more about the history of Christmas and traditions.

The new interactive exhibition offers a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the UNESCO organisation and its activities, with the individual monuments of the Czech Republic inscribed on its list and especially with the leading UNESCO World Heritage Site - Kutná Hora. The unique late Gothic house is accessible from the basement to the attic.
