The visitor centre is focused on wood: its properties and uses, try to get to know different types of wood, learn about the history of woodworking and forest work in the past. For children and adults there is a workshop where you can make or paint a souvenir. There is a shop with Czech toys.

Provides information on peat bogs, navigation channels, settlements and ecosystems of the Šumava. There is a screening room with a total capacity of 40 seats. We organize lectures, talks and other events for the public. We run a corner with a display of pine cones, a collection of fruits and summer annuals, droppings and excrements.

We operate a visitor center with air recuperation and environmentally friendly technologies. There is a 9 ha deer enclosure on the premises. Outside the paddock, a nature trail continues, introducing deer tracks, wild boar and some local trees and plants.

We recommend where to go on a trip in the city, the surrounding area and the Šumava National Park. We offer free timetables, leaflets and maps. We have tips for hiking, cycling and boating trips. We can advise you on accommodation and gastronomy. In addition to souvenirs (business cards, stamps, magnets) we offer historical matches and products of local artists.
