Mineralogical, petrographic, paleontological and mineral collections are concentrated and displayed in the pavilion. The Geology Pavilion serves a pedagogical, scientific research and general educational function. In addition to university students, it is also open to high school students and primary school pupils.
We run a city museum. You can see our permanent exhibition Fishing Tradition in Vodnany, which deals with fishery, painting, fishing studies and research. There are fish specimens and fishing equipment on display. We hold regular exhibitions of the work of photographers and artists.
Operation of the city museum. It houses photographs and postcards from the pre-war and post-war periods, sculptures, maps, various documents and photographs of prominent residents of the village. The chronicle of Andělská Hora from the 16th century to the present is also available for viewing.
The exhibition focuses on the development of the local landscape and nature through the ages. It presents the area before the arrival of man, during the medieval colonization, the development of local industry, collectivization, but also a look into the future. The aim of the nature houses is to introduce visitors to the area in all its aspects.
Visitors can see newly prepared exhibitions dedicated to the history of Holýšov and the history of World War II in Holýšov. The guide through our exhibition is a little boy Johann, who really lived in our farmhouse in the past and experienced the turbulent history of the first half of the 20th century.
We operate a museum focusing on historical objects and artifacts from the area. The permanent exhibition contains prehistoric and medieval tools and everyday objects.
The exposition can be found on the first floor of the castle. It is an experiential exposition where you enter the Younger Iron Age and, thanks to a number of interactive elements, experience the life of our Celtic ancestors for yourself. The exposition is complemented by several showcases with original archaeological finds.
