The Academy provides studies in the arts in three faculties of music, theatre and film. It provides the opportunity to use the services of the library.

The faculty provides teaching in nine departments in the field of film and television arts and with a focus on sound, animation, documentary and more. It operates a centre for audiovisual studies.

Public university type college, member of the European University Association. Currently offers for study at 3 faculties and 2 institutes of higher education together more than 60 disciplines at bachelor, postgraduate and doctoral level. Selected courses are also taught in English.

We are located in one of the buildings of the Faculty of Philosophy and Natural Sciences of the Silesian University in Opava, which was reconstructed for the needs of artistic disciplines with a focus on film and theatre production.

More than a thousand students study at the faculty, of which mainly students of master's and doctoral programmes are regularly involved in creative activities and the implementation of their own research activities. The study is carried out in a credit system based on the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS).

Offering bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs in humanities, media, communication and international area studies. Faculty focus on international relations, European, environmental or gender studies, political science, social anthropology or journalism.

Offering bachelor's, master's and doctoral programs in philosophy, historical sciences, humanities, information studies and library science, general theory and art history. We also specialize in teaching culture, pedagogy and teaching. We do not carry out publishing or research.

We run an academy developing creative activities in drama, music and dance. We have a music and theatre faculty or library. We publish an academic journal and participate in European Union projects.

Providing education in the field of musical arts. We offer the possibility of studying in the department of foreign languages, percussion, wind or string instruments, music and humanities and music management, piano, organ, historical and jazz performance, composition, conducting and opera direction or singing.

We operate a college offering education focused on theatre production.

We offer theoretical and practical lessons in art and design. We are divided into the departments of design, electronic image, photography, art history and theory, general education, visual communication and applied arts.
