The War of 1866 Museum is a department of the Museum of East Bohemia in Hradec Králové. It is located near places of fundamental importance for the development of Europe in the second half of the 19th century. We operate a town museum, which includes exhibitions of ethnography, the 1775 Peasant Uprising, mining in the Podkrkonoše region and Rtyň music. The expositions include an educational trail through mining monuments.
The Museum of Broumov Region was founded in 1945 as a centre for the patrimonial work of the then Broumov district. Since 1980, it has been housed on the 1st floor of the Abbey wing of the Benedictine monastery, where a permanent exhibition called "History of Broumov and Broumov Region" was installed ten years later.
