The Museum is a cultural institution preserving a rich collection dedicated to Prague history, which it has accumulated during its existence. It currently manages eight buildings, which house both permanent exhibitions and temporary exhibitions. We organize special events for the public and children.

We run an exhibition on the life and works of Bedřich Smetana. There is a children's corner and a dressing room. We provide the possibility of entering the exhibition with a stroller.

We operate a museum of Asian, African and American cultures. You will find our permanent exhibitions Oceania, America, Nias - the island of myths and prejudices and Vojta Náprstek. There is a changing table, a children's corner, a cloakroom and more. The building is wheelchair accessible.

The museum presents the life's work of the world-renowned filmmaker Karel Zeman and his film tricks that made Czech cinema famous in the 20th century. The museum is unique in its playful and interactive concept - offering you the opportunity to get involved. Photography and filming are recommended.

We manage the original interior of the apartment of the Palacký and Rieger families. You will find here collections of art, historical and family portraits and paintings by Josef Mánes, Julius Mařák and sculptures by J. V. Myslbek.
