A public benefit society founded by Zdeněk Svěrák and the Svaz Svaz paraplegiků civic association. Since 1994 it has been helping people in wheelchairs after spinal cord injury and their families to cope with difficult life situation. The main service is residential social rehabilitation.
Our mission is to enable people with disabilities to enjoy their leisure time to the full in the way they choose. Our events are generally divided into weekend events for younger (up to 15 years) and older people, and we also organise one-day events for all ages.
We operate a civic association. We offer help to families with children affected by Rett syndrome. We organize meetings, lectures and conferences. We participate in the publication of information materials about the sysdrome, cooperate with other supporting bodies, recommend specialists, etc.
An organisation for people with a neuromuscular disease called muscular dystrophy. We provide information about research and life for people with this condition. We also provide social and legal assistance to our members. We organize rehabilitation and educational courses as well as domestic and foreign convalescent stays.
Since 1992, the Petýrkova barrier-free home has enabled adults with physical disabilities to live with dignity and independence. We offer a social service of personal assistance in combination with emergency assistance. We hold the reliability mark.
