The Faculty of Education of the Jagiellonian University has a tradition of teacher training since 1948 and offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral study programmes as well as lifelong learning. The faculty has 3 campuses mostly in the historical centre of the city, it is the largest faculty of the University of South Bohemia.

The department provides teaching and research in areas of kinanthropology that are closely related to biomedicine, physical sciences and human motor science. It participates in the implementation of full-time and combined forms of undergraduate and doctoral studies.
