Our centre is a joint project of six institutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences and two faculties of Charles University in Prague. We focus on research and development in the fields of biotechnology and biomedicine.

We operate an institution that includes the following scientific departments: the Institute of Entomology, the Institute of Hydrobiology, the Institute of Parasitology, the Institute of Molecular Plant Biology and the Institute of Soil Biology. Species conservation of selected groups of animals including the promotion of valuable and endangered habitats. Processing of biological surveys of areas and animals.

We carry out custom research and development. We sell specialized instruments and chemicals for molecular biology, proteomics and genomics laboratories. We offer plastics for PCR, transfection reagents for DNA, siRNA and antibodies, DNA and RNA isolation kits, EtBr destroyer and much more.

Bioprospecting is focused on applied ecology related to the authorization to carry out biological evaluation in the sense of § 67 according to §45 i of the Act No. 114/1992 Coll., on Nature and Landscape Protection, as amended. The services offered provide a broad "ecological service" for the implementation of a construction or mining project.
