A technology transfer hub that aims to support and connect different players across the innovation spectrum. Main areas of interest are: energy, mobility, smart cities, ICT and Life balance. It then pilots and launches new technologies in these areas.

We are engaged in research of the Czech language and its history. We focus on the field of linguistics of text and rhetoric, speech communication or speech acts. We produce spelling rules, dictionaries, phrasebooks, popular science literature and professional publications.

The institute investigates methods, algorithms and structures of theoretical computer science and their applications in information technology.

Research on Czech and Czechoslovak history after 1938 in an international context. Organisation of international conferences, specialised symposia and workshops. Publication of the journal Contemporary History.

We are engaged in the preparation of source documentation, critical evaluation and reinterpretation of the history of Czech art after 1945. We contribute to the development of knowledge of the local development of the history of art and its introduction into a broader international context.
