We operate a kindergarten for a total of 30 children. We have a canteen. Qualified staff mainly focuses on children's hygiene habits, developing independence, motor skills and healthy self-esteem. We offer an English language club, organise playschemes, visits to theatres and exhibitions.

Primary school for 270 pupils with dining room and day care. The school works with elements of Waldorf pedagogy. Our aim is to positively influence the healthy physical and mental development of children. We are a specific school. We strive for open cooperation with parents. We organize many public social events.

The village lies in the eastern part of the Písek district at an altitude of 488m. It is adjacent to the cadastres of Bernartice, Veselíčko, Branice, Okrouhlá and Sepekov. To the northeast above the village rises Vlčí vrch (Wolf Hill) with a height of 513m and a view in the south to northwest direction.

We run an all-round exercise class for parents with children, pre-school and school age children, teenagers and adults. We provide a Terifoto photography club and sports clubs for basketball, handball, fencing, bowling, canoeing, table tennis, volleyball, aerobics, martial arts and Linedance.
