The Arboretum serves the needs of practical and theoretical teaching of specialized subjects, especially biology, botany, silviculture and environmental science. We organise open days and other events.

The garden is a collection of valuable collections of trees and an example of original garden architecture. The collections of the arboretum include 4000 taxa of orchids, 300 tillandsias, 2000 perennials, 350 cultivars of large-flowered irises, 500 rock plants and 4000 trees.

The First Republic Garden is a certified demonstration natural garden. It is open to groups (min. 6 people) by prior appointment. During the guided tour you will learn practical tips for successful cultivation of ornamental and utility plants.

The outdoor exhibitions of the Botanical Garden are free to visit during opening hours. Entrance to the greenhouses is free of charge. There are regular exhibitions of succulents, carnivorous plants, citrus and bonsai. Works of art are displayed in the garden.

The garden is planted with 8 varieties of Canadian blueberries (Chandler, Duke, Jersey, Bluecrop, Pink Lemonade, Bluejay, Emblue, Berkeley). Visitors can get inspiration on how to grow blueberries successfully and can also buy selected seedlings. The opportunity to sit in the shade of a 250-year-old dogwood tree.

Botanical garden providing cultivation of medicinal plants for educational and research purposes. It also collects seeds for international exchange. We organize exhibitions of fruits, flowers and floral arrangements.

This is the highest botanical garden in the country. It was established in 2005 and covers an area of 15 acres. There are native Sumava plants, rock plants, perennials and woody plants. The pride of the local botanical garden is a collection of 400 daffodils. It is an open-air garden.

The herb garden stands on the site of an older garden house, which is mainly related to the medieval monastery herb gardens. The garden allows visitors not only to buy plants, but also to sit quietly among the herbs.

Operation and maintenance of the Japanese garden.

The Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Tropical Agriculture of the Czech University of Life Sciences has the most unique and comprehensive collection of tropical and subtropical plants in the Czech Republic. These are plants used for direct consumption, i.e. fruits, vegetables, cereals, legumes, as well as textile, technical, medicinal and others.
