Its owner Zacharias of Hradec had the original Gothic castle turned into a Renaissance mansion in the 16th century. The reconstruction took place in two stages under the direction of Italian masters. The original castle was first mentioned in the middle of the 14th century, when Doubí belonged to the royal fiefs of the castle in Loket and the Loket man, the knight Frencl of Dub, worked here. In 1447 the castle was conquered and in the 16th century it was rebuilt into a Renaissance chateau. In the 17th century, a park with an observation deck was built.

Orlík is a castle converted into a chateau near the village of Orlík nad Vltavou in the district of Písek in the South Bohemia Region. It is located on a rock promontory above the Vltava River, whose valley is flooded by the water of the Orlické Dam. The castle grounds are protected as a cultural monument.
