The museum seeks to present a vanished image of the countryside and revive its image. The exhibition is divided into several parts. The memorial is located on the memorial grounds of a former Nazi execution site. During the second martial law in 1942, 194 victims lost their lives here. The exhibition combines authentic objects with multimedia content. In addition to personal stories, it is possible to get acquainted with unique archival documents.
You will see an exhibition dedicated to the painter Max Švabinský and the Vejrych family. The local landscape inspired Švabinský to create several of his works (The Poor Country, At the Loom, Two Mothers, White Camellia). Švabinský decorated the facade of the cottage with a sgraffito called Žnečka.
