The National Museum is an important Czech museum institution. It collects, researches and presents artefacts from natural science, history and art, which it exhibits in 15 buildings and protects in several separate depositories. It has more than 20 million objects in its collections.

We operate a synagogue which you will find in close proximity to the Old Jewish Cemetery. We offer exhibitions of Jewish traditions and customs. In its time it was the largest synagogue in the ghetto.

We operate an exposition of the original Ježek's room in a private apartment, furnished in the style of functionalism by the architect František Zelenka.

Operation of a gallery on the technology of miniature objects and their history. A total of 30 exhibits are on display. We provide the possibility of photography.

We manage the original interior of the apartment of the Palacký and Rieger families. You will find here collections of art, historical and family portraits and paintings by Josef Mánes, Julius Mařák and sculptures by J. V. Myslbek.

The Museum is a cultural institution preserving a rich collection dedicated to Prague history, which it has accumulated during its existence. It currently manages eight buildings, which house both permanent exhibitions and temporary exhibitions. We organize special events for the public and children.

The National Gallery uses the riding hall space for short-term exhibition projects. The riding hall is located in the garden of the early Baroque palace complex built for Albrecht von Wallenstein by Italian architects Andrea Spezza and Nicolo Sebregondi.

The Kinsky Palace, NGP's central building on Old Town Square, regularly hosts the most important short-term projects. In past years, works by Gerhard Richter, Rousseau the Customs Officer and Jiří Kolář have been exhibited here. Follow the exhibition programme on our website.

The collection exhibition on the first floor of the monastery complex presents the transformation of the form and function of artwork over three centuries with more than two hundred exhibits in the fields of painting, sculpture and artistic craftsmanship.

Step into the past and let it come alive in front of you. The interactive museum is located by the Charles Bridge. In the Story of Prague you will walk through three floors and gradually find yourself in the Middle Ages, the Second World War or communism. At the end you will ascend to the section introducing our recent history and the present.

This entertaining interactive exhibition across from the Old Town Astronomical Clock offers a view of Prague from a completely new perspective. Praga Magica reveals Prague’s hidden stories, secrets, and famous landmarks through large-format projections, interactive elements, and visual experiences.
