We are a cultural institution dedicated to exhibiting works of art ranging from paintings, photography to prints and sculptures. We also offer the purchase of exhibited works. We also provide space for art schools to present student work and artworks.

Organizing exhibitions and presenting collections of local and Russian art of the 19th and 20th centuries. We organize European Heritage Days. We offer sets of reproductions, so-called travelling exhibitions, for loan to educational and medical institutions and private individuals. We exhibit paintings, drawings, prints and sculptures.

There are exhibitions of action art, installations, site-specific, performance, lectures, etc. The exhibitions are visible 24 hours a day through the windows from the street and the arcade.

We operate the Čapek Brothers Museum. The first floor presents publications, correspondence, samples of feuilletons, original drawings from travelogues or family photographs by Karel Čapek, while the second floor displays 20 oil paintings that are a cross-section of Josef Čapek's entire oeuvre.

A unique section of the above-ground and underground defensive system of the Josefov Fortress, which ranks among the top works of fortification construction of the second half of the 18th century. Part of the premises is used for the exhibition of cannons and artillery ammunition. The guided tour of the building is accessible from Bastion X.

In the building of Ravelin No. XIV there is a museum where artifacts related to the history of the fortress are located - original working tools, a cross from the church tower, firearms and stabbing weapons and much more. The building is open irregularly, and the annual New Year's Eve shooting is held at Ravelin No. XIV on December 31.

Offering tours of the baroque complex. As early as 1696, Count Špork decided to establish a hospital for elderly veterans from the surrounding area on his Hradiště estate. After Špork's spa and residence began to grow on the left bank of the Elbe in Kuks, the opposite, right bank was chosen as the site for the future institution.

Exhibition of situational plans of bastion forts in Bohemia, especially the Josefov Fortress. Another exhibition is "Medical service of armies during the World Wars", a historical police station or army canteen. From Bastion X you can take a guided tour of Ravelin XIV and Bastion IX.

We run a gallery of ceramic, glass and textile artists.

We offer a guided tour of the bastion, barracks and underground defence system. You can also see the lapidarium of sculptures by Matthias Bernard Braun or take an individual walk along the ramparts.

The monastery was founded in the 13th century by the Benedictines of Břevnov and underwent reconstructions. It houses the Museum of the Town of Police nad Metují (the exposition is open seasonally). The abbey organises cultural events in the former Refectory.
