The faculty provides undergraduate and postgraduate medical studies in full-time and combined form.

We provide teaching in seven specialisations (fields): indology, Tibetan studies, Mongolian studies, Indonesian studies, Vietnamese studies, Korean studies, Japanese studies in bachelor's, master's and doctoral programmes. In all specializations, the emphasis is on mastery of the language.

The faculty provides a bachelor's degree program in medical bioanalytics, a master's degree program in pharmacy and related doctoral degree programs. Full-time or combined studies are offered. We are engaged in a program on drug development and study.

We provide tuition for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral studies in ethnology. We are engaged in research activities focusing on ethnocultural issues of Czech lands, Europe and selected regions of the world.

The department provides study of aesthetics at the undergraduate, graduate and doctoral levels as a separate discipline or in combination with a second discipline.

We provide Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes in Czech for foreigners and specialised courses for trainees and postgraduates from European universities. We are engaged in research activities focusing on contemporary Czech language, literature and culture.

We provide teaching of medical biochemistry with its pathobiochemical, clinical and diagnostic aspects in the pre-clinical and clinical part of the study. We carry out biomedical research.
