The city of Brno is located at an altitude of 190 metres and has 404,688 inhabitants. The cadastral area is 23 022 ha. Its administrative district includes 29 municipal districts. Cultural monuments include Villa Tugendhat, the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul, the Church of St. Thomas.

Maintaining records of the City's real property, preparing housing concepts, housing needs analyses, and the condition of City-owned housing stock. The department updates the agenda of proposals from individuals and legal entities for the disposition of city property.
