It is responsible for the “Dáme na vás” participatory budgeting process, “Dáme na vás” citizen proposals, and “Dáme na vás” city surveys. It promotes civic participation within the city of Brno. It builds a database on the data.brno.cz platform, which also serves as a basis for subsequent analyses and evaluations.

Creation and implementation of a concept for the use of agricultural land, forests and buildings owned by the city and a concept for the development of water management. The department deals with restitution claims made against the city by entitled persons. It carries out inspections of government agencies.

Management of the property entrusted to the municipality, processing of applications for state subsidies for housing support, registration of applicants for municipal housing. Keeping records of non-payers of rent in municipal flats and non-residential premises.

It is responsible for activities related to marketing and promoting the city and for tourism; it builds a unified image for the city and coordinates the city’s brand management across all areas; and it approves requests for permission to use the City of Brno logo.
