The Institute is engaged in aviation education, research and testing of aircraft and aviation technology. The Institute offers two courses in Aircraft Construction and Aircraft Operations. The Institute also offers a three-year professional bachelor's degree in Professional Pilot.

The department provides teaching of courses in the Master's degree in Information Systems, which includes the areas of programming, formal languages and compilers, database and information systems, computer networks or Internet applications. The institute provides teaching of a basic mathematics course which includes the following subjects: linear algebra, analytical geometry, numerical methods, constructive geometry and computer graphics, differential equations. It offers bachelor's, advanced master's and doctoral degree programmes.

Offer of foreign language courses with possibilities of professional specialization. We provide courses in Russian, German and Spanish. We focus on research in the fields of linguistics and teaching professional English. We use electronic texts, multimedia language classrooms, interactive whiteboards, video and audio programs.

The institute provides teaching mainly of hardware oriented subjects in all degree programmes, i.e. bachelor, master and doctoral programmes. The scientific research activities of the institute include the architecture of technical and software means of embedded systems.

The institute provides teaching in the undergraduate degree programme in the compulsory subjects of Geology, Soil Mechanics, Building Foundation, Rock Mechanics and Underground Construction. In the follow-up Master's degree programme in Construction and Transportation Engineering, it provides the compulsory course Earth Structures.

The institute provides education for students in undergraduate, master's and postgraduate doctoral programs. The aim is to train professionals in the most important energy fields such as the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity and the use of electricity.

The institute provides compulsory and non-compulsory teaching of foreign languages (English, German, Russian, French) for bachelor, master and combined studies. It also provides language training for PhD students in the above-mentioned languages. The classrooms of the Institute of Languages are fully equipped with multimedia equipment.
