The university provides structured higher education in the following types of study: bachelor's (3-4 years, B.Sc. or B.A. degree), master's (1.5-2 years, Ing., Ing. arch. or MgA. degree) and doctoral (3-4 years, Ph.D. degree), in the form of full-time or combined study.

We operate a mixed choir. We organize performances and concerts.

The faculty offers master's, bachelor's and doctoral degree programs with a focus on electrical, electronics, communications and control engineering. It focuses on a spectrum of scientific areas such as robotics, biomedical engineering, power electronics and electrical engineering and others.

We run a research center. We research nanotechnology, microtechnology and advanced materials. We focus on functionally and structurally gradient, nanostructured and smart materials, ceramic materials, polymers, metals and composites. We investigate materials generally suitable for nanoelectronics.

Library functioning as an information centre. We keep an agenda of books, Czech and foreign magazines. The book collection includes books focusing on consumer chemistry, food chemistry, biomedical engineering, environment, mathematics or computer science. There are 80 study places.

The faculty provides education in bachelor, master and doctoral degree programmes in both full-time and combined form. It provides education in engineering and applied sciences. It offers students various forms of study at partner universities abroad.

The faculty provides education of professionals with the qualifications of Bachelor (B.Sc.) in the three-year Bachelor's degree programme in Information Technology, Engineer (Eng.) in the two-year follow-up Master's degree programme in Information Technology and Doctor (Ph.D.) in the degree programme in Computer Technology and Informatics.

Offering Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes. Teaching focuses mainly on painting, sculpture, graphic and industrial design. The faculty organises gala evenings and auctions of artworks. Possibility of scholarship stays in Poland provided on the basis of an international agreement.
